The Audacity of Obama

My Response to Tony Katz. Attempting to describe my views of Barack Obama’s recent actions. I am definitely not impressed with Obama.

I think it its also somewhat ironic that Obama said he could no more disown Wright than he could the Black Community.
Well it only took him 4 days to disown Wright when Wright came out against Barack, so where will that leave the Black community a year from now if they grow to dislike Obama.
If another hurricane hits New Orleans will Obama be any better than George Bush? My gut tells me that he will be just about the same.  I suspect that the only reason why he sometimes seems to know what way the wind blows is because he has a better set of wind chimes in the form of pollsters and strategy people.

Its not difficult to collect a general consensus of the right way to talk to people to tell them what they want to hear.  Its a lot more difficult to choose to do the right things at the right time to achieve the right result.

Obama’s Religious Subjugation Yields Pastortage

Barack Obama has chosen to subjugate himself to a religion and as a result he has opened himself up to Pastor Sabotage in his political campaign and in his ability to lead the country. He is not the only politician that has had this problem, especially over the last 28 years as the christian movement has chosen to enter the political process and attempt to control politicians on the right and on the left. The United States is a country of the people and not of the church. We hold ourselves together under a secular constitution and not under any one religious philosophy. We had the opportunity to subjugate ourselves to the Church of England and to the Pope and to many other religious movements in the early days of our country.
The founders of this country chose specifically not to subjugate themselves. They chose freedom over bondage. We are the home of the brave choosing to be free.
The Reverend Wright scandal is an age old scandal exhibiting the problems manifest when a person or group of people choose subjugation over freedom.
Maybe Barrack Obama will learn from this mistake and finally himself become his own man, become free and through freedom become a good leader. This could be a turning point for the good, or a continuation of the flaws in Barrack Obama and his campaign that could spoil his chances at the Presidency.
If Barack Obama fails to get elected it will not be entirely because of the Pastortage of Reverend Wright, but because Barack Obama chose to enable his Pastor to Sabotage his election. We should not elect a codependent President.
We have one of those today. His name is George W Bush and he is codependent on his religion to make his choices and decisions where his mental faculties do not hold sway. We need more codependent politicians subjugated to the special interests of religion like we need a Constitution written in invisible ink.

Oil Hits $117 - A Conversation on the Impact

The preceding posts included a conversation that I was involved in at Utterz.com, a social networking site.  I wanted to experiment with sharing this segment of the conversation here at NoMoreIncumbents.org and looking into the potential for some cross germination of ideas and discussion based on the topic.

You can find the first through the seventh post in the series as follows:

  1. Oil Hits $117, Effects Cost of Everything Else Part 1
  2. Oil Hits $117, Effects Cost of Everything Else -Part 2
  3. Oil Hits $117, Effects Cost of Everything Else-Part 3
  4. Oil Hits $117, Effects Cost of Everything Else-Part 4
  5. Oil Hits $117, Effects Cost of Everything Else-Part 5
  6. Oil Hits $117, Effects Cost of Everything Else-Part 6
  7. Oil Hits $117, Effects Cost of Everything Else-Part 7

As the conversation develops at Utterz, I will work to keep everyone here up on the conversation.  You are more than welcome to hop over there and join directly into the conversation as well, whatever is easiest for you.  The Utterz community is friendly and open and easy to use and doesn’t require any special invitations, hand shakes, funny hats or equestrian clothing for fox hunts on Sunday or anything.

Come as you are whenever you like however you like and share your perspective and we will all be better for the conversation.

Oil Hits $117, Effects Cost of Everything Else-Part 7

Oil prices are high in part because of the instability in the world and in the Middle East. That instability is largely due to people that have worked to create instability. That instability as I mentioned before is not the only issue driving up the prices. As KaiserS points out, demand is out stripping production supply (not necessarily supply in the ground, but our ability to get it out, piped to refineries and turned into something useful).

The world is becoming a very crowded place and we have not yet learned how to deal with crowding and energy demands for the growth.  When it comes to oil, it is a fundamental component of the production of almost everything in the global market from delivering rice and grain to Africa to shipping bottles of red wine to members of wine clubs in Montana.

Until we find an alternative form of transportation that does not rely on oil, or we find an alternate form of energy to power or transportation means, this will always be the case.
